Basic types of files

Blažek Glass Co. produces glass files in many sizes and shapes. The shape and size determines application of the file. While 80 and 90 mm long files are convenient above all for travelling or as an accessory of ladies´ handbag, size 140 mm is good for everyday care of the nails. Glass files 200 mm long are used especially for professional applications in nail studios and beauty studios or for care of toe nails. Files 200 mm a 250 mm long of profiled glass are good for removing horny skin on heels or complete soles of the foot.

Files are produced in uni- and bilateral versions.

The precise shape, size and type of the file is determined by an order code having the a/ b/ c/ d/ form

Letter a specifies the shape of the file:

• No.1 round shape on both the sides
• No. 2 round shape on one side, pointed on the other

Letter b specifies length of the file in mm, i. e., e. g. 70, 80, 90, 140, 200, 250 mm.

Letter c gives file thickness in mm, i. e. 2 or 3 mm.

Letter d says whether the file is unilateral or bilateral and if it has a grip or not:

• No. 1 unilateral file without a grip
• No. 2 bilateral file without a grip
• No. 3 unilateral file with a grip
• No. 4 bilateral file with a grip
